Items Consumed: chocolate croissant, a chocolate dipped peanut butter mojo bar, a glass of orange juice. hour 7-hour 8: crackers and a half a pound of freshly made guacamole from Whole Foods. That sounds like a lot of guac, but really it’s not. hour 15-hour 16: honey seared vegetables and tofu at pei wei and one chai tea.
Well, after I finished Blood Brothers, I spent the better part of forty-five minutes putting together the mini-challenge post. Then I spent an hour cheerleading, or trying to cheerlead, I should say. I have been having some computer issues all day, which has really frustrated me, so I finally gave up and went back to reading. I started the second book in the Sign of Seven trilogy. After forty-five minutes, I fell asleep for a bit.
Now it’s the end, which means the only left to do is to fill out the end of event survey.
1. Which hour was most daunting for you? hour 22
2. Could you list a few high-interest books that you think could keep a Reader engaged for next year? I will take this opportunity to rave about Sarah Addison Allen.  I read The Peach Keeper and the time flew by. However, any of her books would be a good choice.
3. Do you have any suggestions for how to improve the Read-a-thon next year? My brain is too fuzzy to come up with ideas.
4. What do you think worked really well in this year’s Read-a-thon? I really liked how someone was scheduled to go around and comment on winners’ blogs that they had won a prize. Great idea.
5. How many books did you read? 2
6. What were the names of the books you read? The Peach Keeper by Sarah Addison Allen and Blood Brothers by Nora Roberts
7. Which book did you enjoy most? I enjoyed them both equally.
8. Which did you enjoy least? I liked everything I read.
9. If you were a Cheerleader, do you have any advice for next year’s Cheerleaders? No, I think everyone did great.
10. How likely are you to participate in the Read-a-thon again? What role would you be likely to take next time? As long as the read-a-thon is around, I’ll be participating.

I am so proud of you for having such a successful Read-A-Thon experience. I really like the mini-challenge. Wish I could have participated this time but you did a fantastic job representing the Quirky Girls.

  4. Finding new blogs to read is keeping me from having Post-Read-a-Thon letdown. Love the fact that your snack list is part of your round up! And as a quirky girl-person I’ll definitely stick around to check out your blog…. once I get lunch and a very nice nap!

  5. It seems like this was a fun event for all who participated. Sorry I only had time for a few cheers.
