Frequently when I read a book review, I immediately want to add the book to my TBR list. You know, the list that gets longer and longer and longer, until you wonder if you’re ever going to plow your way through it.
Here are a few books on my TBR list:
The Strange Case of Finley Jayne, by Kady Cross.
Real Happiness: The Power of Meditation, by Sharon Salzberg
Why My Third Husband Will Be a Dog, by Lisa Scottoline
The Power of Six, by Pittacus Lore
Triangle: The Fire That Changed America, by David von Drehle
Liar, by Justine Larbalestier
The Jefferson Allegiance, by Bob Mayer
I actually own all of the preceding books on my nook. Here are a few that are on my wish list at Barnes & Noble:
Half-Assed, by Jennette Fulda
The Bone Yard, by Jefferson Bass
Wuthering High, by Cara Lockwood
Where the Truth Lies, by Jessica Warman
Some of these books I’ve found through reading reviews on other blogs or book review websites. Some I’ve found by browsing on store shelves, or online. Some I’ve found through their being listed either in the free section or in the under $5 section at Barnes & Noble. And yes, I’ve actually considered getting a Kindle so that I can get some of the books from Amazon that aren’t available in nook format.
What about you? What are some of the books on your TBR list? Please share–even though mine is a mile and a half long, I don’t really mind adding more.
I don’t worry about them if they’re only on my list! It’s when they’re on my stacks that I start to panic…lol
I did love Why My Third Husband Will Be a Dog.
Oh I don’t dread my TBR list – I love browsing through it – like my own personal library filled only with things I truly have an interest in. Like you, I add to it mostly because of book blogger reviews. But the most recent book to hit the pile was handed to me by my sister-in-law who ordered that I read it so we can talk about it together – Bel Canto by Ann Patchett.
I don’t have a physical TBR list, just a ton of books on my kindle, a wish list at goodreads and amazon, and a few shelves/boxes scattered around the house. My moods aren’t organized, so why should my TBR pile be? LOL. Oh, and don’t forget the scattered bits of paper tucked here and there with titles.
I have a suggestion, I have read The Triangle Fire von Drehle and liked it, but really loved Flesh & Blood So Cheap by Albert Marrin more. Why? There were tons of pictures, didn’t get as mired in so many details, and also was a National Book Award finalist. I know you bought the other already though….:)
Ack! ” The Triangle Fire by von Drehle”
I don’t mind my TBR list, but I’ve just been adding to it blindly for quite a while now. I think it’s time to go through and do some not-spring-cleaning.
You will definitely be able to plow through Finley Jane. It’s quite short if I remember correctly.
I haven’t heard of any of these! Great list!
